Paul Förster and R/O Fw. Böhmer were photographed with this plane in the background and they probably used this plane in action. This He 219 was shot down in the night from June 3 to 4, 1944 during testing mission by RAF No. 219 Squadron Mosquito ( P/O D.T. Tull and P/O P.J. Cowgill ) near Wilhelminsdorp. The pilot Hptm. Heinz Eicke was succesfully catapulted and survived, the R/O Ofw. Heinz Gall was KiA.
