1:48 He 219 A-045, DV+VL

He 219 A-045, W.Nr. 190116, DV+DL. This prototype was used for tests of radio equipment. The plane was later re-built to the fighter version standard and was sent to Stab.II./ NJG 1. During the night from May 19th to 20th, 1944 one and half hour before midnight this He 219 coded G9+DC was probably attacked by Mosquito from No. 85 Squadron RAF (F/Lt K. D. Vaughan). The crew of Lt. Otto Fries and Fw. Alfred Staffa parashuted succesfully but both suffered injuries. The plane crashed 3 km south of Hertsogenbosch in Holland.
